Service Accent shows the message 'Unexpected error; quitting' at startup

Symptom

This is a problem caused by the Windows OLE DLL files that fail to load correctly when the user has insufficient rights under Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Solution

Ensure the local user has administrator or power user rights

Additional information
If you are attempting to run Service Accent under Citrix, get to the Command Prompt and type

change user install

If Service Accent starts correctly, ensure that the user's Windows folder is up to date.
