Unable to log in to Service Accent / Empty remote console window (only occurs on Windows Server)

Symptom
A 50003 error message appears when launching Service Accent / Remote solutions are not processing requests and the remote console window is blank


Cause
Microsoft Windows update KB3139940 has been identified as the cause of this problem

Solution
Removing this update and restarting the computer restores the export to PDF functionality.

To remove this update:

  1. Open Programs and Features by "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features"
  2. View installed updates by clicking on "View installed updates"




  3. Search for KB3139940




  4. Uninstall the update




  5. Restart your PC



The Microsoft Update process WILL attempt to re-install the update again unless it is prevented.
Please seek advice from your IT support to ensure that this update is prevented from being re-applied.
